I hear you, design degree here and spent nearly 3 years as prepress (no design duties at all, no space for management promotions as the people above me had 30 years and 15 years of experience I didn't have) at a commercial printing plant. A google search won't always be enough to find it, so get advice, relevant majors, and job suggestions from other redditors here. If you have something you like to do, there is almost definitely a job out there that will pay you for it.
